I was living in an unpermitted dwelling unit on my father’s property. Our world was turned upside down when we received a compliance notice from the city. Because the ADU was illegally built, we had no choice but to demolish it and bring the property up to code. That experience sparked my deep dive into the ADU process—and ultimately, my passion for them.

After learning about how ADUs can provide affordable housing solutions, keep families close, and create financial stability for homeowners, I realized their true impact.

Not long after, I bought my first home and built a permitted ADU, using it as my first house hack for three years. Now, as an ADU Specialist, my mission is to educate, design, and build ADUs that meet both homeowners’ needs and city regulations.

In my seven years of starting this journey, I've built over 85 ADUs, and designed over 130 ADUs.
